Job title: Catering Assistant

Role open to applications: Until 23rd April 2025 – interview date 25th April 2025

Salary: £12.21 per hour. Paid direct into your bank account at monthly intervals.

Hours of work: 24 hours per week. Shifts are usually 08:00-14:00 / 11:30 - 18:00.

There are times when it is necessary for you to work additional hours to those quoted in this statement within the limits set by the Working Time Regulations, and it is a condition of employment that you are willing to do so, when requested. Overtime hours are not guaranteed.

Are you able to work as part of the catering team to assist the Head Cook and Cooks in preparing, cooking and serving a wide range of dishes for patients, children (Little Owls Nursery), staff, visitors/customers (mainly in our Café Dulcies) and functions/training courses in accordance with agreed menus?

Under the guidance of the Head Cook/Cook, can you undertake the preparation of raw foodstuffs, cooking of raw foodstuffs and service of meals?

The Catering Assistant will be expected to work as part of the support services team, under the direction of the Head Cook and Duty Cook.
