Title: Bank Clinical Educator
Hours: Bank Hours, As and when needed
Salary: £22.00 per hour, Paid one month in arrears (Shifts completed in September will be paid in October)
Job Summary.
1. Provides educational leadership to clinical staff to enhance specialised patient care within Dove House.
2. Collaborates with Head of Clinical Services in the planning, implementation, and delivery of educational curricula.
3. Initiates skills development programs within the parameters of established care models; monitors trends and implements educational strategies to ensure compliance with quality standards and parameters.
4. Provides direct specialised nursing services to an assigned group of patients, providing specialised patient care within nursing protocols and assisting in the performance of all related nursing duties.
5. Educates IPU staff in the use of new equipment, supplies, and instruments; coordinates in-service training and workshops for appropriate staff.
6. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.

Hours of work: The hours of work are on an as and when required basis, Availability of work on our Bank will obviously vary dependent on many factors. DBS required? Yes. The above post enables the holder to have access to persons in receipt of health services in the course of his/her normal duties and as Dove House Hospice meets the requirements in respect of exempted questions under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, the successful candidate will be asked to apply for an Enhanced check with Barred List Check (Adult) through the Disclosure & Barring Service. This will contain details of all convictions on the Police National Computer including cautions, reprimands or final warnings which would not be filtered in line with current guidance. A criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining employment.
